Is Mariners Miracle safe for kids?

Keep our kids safe. We always recommend consulting a physician before giving to children. That being said, the ingredients are food so unless they have an allergy to Ginger, Black Pepper, Peppermint, or Vitamin B6 it should be fine if taken as recommended on the bottle. Anything taken to the extreme can be dangerous, even too much water. So, follow the directions.

What if I’ve tried ginger before, but it didn’t work?

We hear that a lot but… Ours works! Why, because most ginger you get in candy, tea, grocery or natural supplement store is old, dry, and no longer bio active. Heck, if you leave ours on the shelf long enough it will dry out and become ineffective as well. Also, it matters how much you take. Candy, for example, has about 20 mg of ginger in it. That is not enough. Our research resulted in the optimum amount of ginger to be around 1100 mg. A serving of ours is 1400 mg.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

In most cases so far, the customer didn’t take it correctly. Once they did, they noticed results. I say that, and I know people will still use it incorrectly. Mariners Miracle isn’t intended to cure motion sickness once it starts. But, prior to motion or travel, it is excellent at preventing motion sickness. The bottle says 60 to 90 minutes before travel.

What if peppermint gives me heartburn?

A common question. The amounts in a serving were carefully considered for effectiveness without an excess of any one ingredient. Example: many people take 750 mg daily of peppermint for health reasons. We could have used that much but didn’t need it to be effective. Our serving of 2 capsules includes only 40 mg.

Any drug interactions?

We can’t answer no. But, mainly because of the Vitamin B6. There are warnings that taking B6 can reduce the effectiveness of some medicines. Most likely if you are on that medicine, your warning would have mentioned that large doses of B6 could interfere. Our serving size is pretty low at 50 mg. Of course, you should check with your doctor prior to taking Mariners Miracle.

How often can you take it?

It is food, so really as often as you need. What would be excessive? That would depend on the Vitamin B6 amount. A serving of Mariners Miracle contains 50 mg. Each person is different but supplements available range from 5 to 500 mg per serving. Ours is lower than the most common multivitamin dose of 100-150 mg.

What if I have an allergic reaction?

Stop taking it. Common enough ingredients that you should already know if you are allergic to Ginger, Black Pepper, and Peppermint. If you are allergic to B6, you’re probably already dead because it is in much of our food.

I’ve had mine for awhile, how do I know if it is still effective?

Great question. We say at least 12 months after the bottle is opened. But we have seen 70% success even with 3 year old supply. We try hard at limiting dealers purchases to not more than they will sell in 6 months to ensure optimal effectiveness. If your bottle is open, you can test it by opening a capsule and tasting it. The ginger should still be flavorful. If it is dry, dusty and has a dirt like taste, it is probably not effective anymore.

Is the capsule also vegan-friendly?

The capsules contain no gelatin. They are 100% plant derived vegetable cellulose. It costs a little more, but you are worth it.

There are no dumb questions.

Who am I kidding, sure there are but we’ll even answer those.
